Wedding Presents for Obama

The Obama administration has come up with a great idea for your wedding. They would like you to have your wedding guest send money to their campaign. Instead of buying you a wedding present . Wow, isn't this a great idea.

Maybe if your wedding guests give enough money    the president will  sent his pastor   Jeremiah Wright to marry you on the big day wow. Wouldn't that be fun!  Another prize will be have Bill Maher with this filthy mouth entertain at your reception. You won't have to worry about security they could send the Black Panther party over to help you out. Will there you have it there could be many benefits if you send your wedding gift money to support the Obama reelection campaign.

Inspiration Sessions at Havertys: Discover Something You

This post brought to you by Havertys Furniture. All opinions are 100% mine.

For me, it is hard to design a living space but, as long as it pleases my eye, I am up for that. I have been watching TV shows about home designing and how they splurge some rooms in the house and I got an idea from those types of shows. Most of them created an awesome transformation of the room adding some design elements that balance and make it a stand out. Check out the products below which I picked from Havertys Website. I love shopping at Havertys for they have elegant products like what is shown in the picture.

Just 5 miles away is Haverty's home store and we checked regularly for furniture and accessories display. Havertys: Discover Something You has interesting concept and suggestions in designing a room. They just started the Inspiration Sessions last Sept 15 which is Now Showing the Entertainment Space Designs. If you do not have a separate family room in the house which you can devote to a home theater, make your living room a dual function. Haverty's suggested that lined curtains are the first key and to avoid glare, use panels which you can slide easy.

Seating is also key element in this space. For TV viewing that's comfortable for the whole family with plenty of room to spread out, check out BENTLEY sectional for an opulent look of leisure. You can choose the configuration to suit your space with options like a push back chaise and power recliner for complete relaxation. Choose the color that suits your space from latte or walnut leather/vinyl match.

If you plan to settle down to a new home after marriage, check out Havertys Website for more Inspiration Sessions on Oct 13, the Seasonal Escapes which is all about designing for seasons; Nov.10 for Winter Colors which is about designing to incorporate winter colors and Dec.1, the Finishing Touches is about making that room complete.

Automobile Warranties

Many  newlywed couples after their honeymoon come home and settled into the routine of married life. Some will purchase a new car to help establish their credit.

When you go to the dealer, and eventually purchase a new car you will be immediately asked to purchase an extended warranty. Be careful with this it is another tool for the dealer to either make up for some profit lost on your transaction, or to increase more profit on the deal.

Many car salesman look upon newlyweds as an easy target because they seem gullible or the husband or wife wants to make their partner happy with the purchase of a new car. . You will be told that this warranty will cover everything on your car and therefore you will  not have to worry about anything going wrong.

If you feel that you need to purchase an extended warranty first check and see how long the manufacturers warranty covers the car.  Most warranties are good for about 36,000 miles  on certain models of of automobiles they could go as high as 100,000 miles. There will always be a deductible from $300-$500 . This means you will be responsible for repairs falling into this category before the warranty will kick in.  Also check and see if there are service fees connected to the warranty.
If you are purchasing a new car an extended warranty would probably be a waste of money. So do your research  before going to the dealer  so you won't be ripped off.

Grand Canyon/Camping, Honeymoon

While planning your honeymoon what could be more romantic than camping in the Grand Canyon. There are campgrounds on the North rim and South rim of Grand Canyon.

The National Park Service operates the campgrounds so you know you won't be disappointed as they always do a great job.

There are many activities you can do on your honeymoon, such as Mule trips, hiking down the canyon that will take two days because it is very tiring to try to do it in one day. They have helicopter tours, cycling, and horseback riding. You can even book a week too long or two weeks boat tour on the Colorado River, stopping every night to sleep under the stars. How romantic is that. For more information, contact your local travel agent and get complete information on a camping honeymoon in the Grand Canyon a trip you will always remember.

Bridal Registry

A bridal registry is a service provided by a store such as Target or Sears. You can start your registry at the store, and even online at their website.

An advantage to having a bridal registry is you will cut down on getting duplicate gifts for your wedding. This will save you time from having to return them by you or the gift giver.

The registry will inform your guests on the items you would like to receive that will help you in your new life. The list of gifts on the registry may be such items as traditional kitchen items such as pots and pans, gift cards, which can be used to purchase things you did not receive. Many people will just give you money. This is always a good thing. So while planning your wedding, make sure you start a gift registry in your favorite store in plenty of time for your guest to take advantage of it.

Change of Plans

If you are planning a honeymoon trip to Egypt may I suggest that you make a change in plans.

Last night in Cairo, Egypt the American Embassy came under attack by Egyptian mobs. You would not be safe to travel anywhere in Egypt. I know you would like to visit the pyramids or take a romantic cruise down the Nile, but do you want to risk your life doing it. I would recommend you change your plans to Europe or Asia. There are many beautiful places to spend a honeymoon there also and you will not have to worry about being murdered. The Muslims in the Mideast hate Americans for their way of life and always will. Last night also in Libya, the ambassador and three other diplomats were assassinated. If you want to take the chance of this happening to you, then do not heed the warning.

One way Americans can fight these Muslim fanatics is to completely boycott their country such as buying only products produced in America not traveling to these Mideast countries and writing to your congressman to pull the foreign-aid from Libya and Egypt, and any other Muslim country that threatens us.
