While you're planning your wedding it is very important that you secure your marriage license in a timely manner.
The regulations governing the application to marry license varies from state to state. For example in some states there is no waiting period once you have applied for your license. In others it could be as much as three-days. You will also have to show proper ID such as a drivers license, state ID card or a passport. If you are marrying a person who is a nonresident of the United States you might want to check out if there's any special requirements required by the state. So before making that trip down to City Hall just call ahead and see what requirement and regulations you will have to follow.
