Mother's Day

Mother's Day was signed into law by Pres. Woodrow Wilson in 1914. This is a day that is designed to celebrate women.

Mother's Day is a beloved holiday for many people and is one of the most popular holidays celebrated around the world. Anna Javits from West Virginia is the person who actually got the date established. She appealed directly to the president of the United States for federal support of the holiday so thanks to Anna, we now have Mother's Day. Before her death Anna Javits fought against the commercialization of Mother's Day. She was actually arrested once while protesting the holiday she helped to create.. Despite her protest the day has become commercialized but many Americans continue to love Mother's Day , and it is evident that the holiday is stronger than ever. So this Mother's Day do not forget to honor your mother whether she's living or dead. Mother's Day is the busiest day of the entire year for people to go out and eat this is very impressive. So to all the mothers have a great day you deserve it.
