Low Powered BB's

My friend who lives in the farm land in Alabama has an Air Soft Gun. It looks like a real gun which he used to scare away some animals in the area. They are replica firearms that use plastic pellets which he calls BB's. BB's are designed to be non-lethal and to provide realistic replicas. He got a pistol, a rifle and even a shotgun BB's. FYI, if the ammunition used is made of metal and is projected by air or gas, it is classified as an air gun. On the other hand, if the ammunition used is made of plastic, the classification is air soft gun.

There is a legal restriction about these stuffs and for safety concerns; most air guns are low powered. They do make high-powered air gun and air soft guns for hunting. These high-powered rifles shoot a pellet that will travel the speed of sound and produce a very low noise. Most air soft guns can safely be fired in a backyard and some even indoors with the proper backstops. In some states, it is required to have a background check when purchasing an air soft gun.
