Neck Pain is a Hassle

Have you ever wake up in the morning with a pain in your neck? You must have slept in the wrong position or need a new mattress, right? The pain may be in the neck but the actual cause could be in the lower spine of your body. Neck pain may be caused by the tightness in the upper back or even a pinched nerve. You could have joint problems in your neck or upper back. The most common areas that cause neck pain is the lower neck and upper back. Neck pain could also be caused by emotional problems, muscular strain or the overdoing of your daily exercises. A bad posture such as when you take a nap on a couch and sleeping in an awkward position could be the reason of your neck pain.

Minor neck pain can be treated by applying either heat or cold to the affected area. Over-the-counter pain cream has little effect on neck pain. Some people have tried muscle relaxes but this also has little effect. Physical therapy seems to be the most favorable treatment for neck pain. Surgery is not recommended unless there is a form of some kind of disease detected. If you have this problem, consult to your doctor and put an end to that pain.
