Townhouse Versus Condo

After being recently married you are deciding to purchase a condominium or a townhouse what is the difference?

A condominium is a unit that is a part of a bigger complex. The owner of the condo is responsible for the interior of the unit and the condo Association is generally responsible for the outside of the unit such as the roof outside walls and landscaping.

A townhouse is a style of housing where a row of identical houses share walls the difference is the townhouse owner is responsible for the entire unit. In general most townhouse fees are much lower than a condominium. In many cases there is usually not a pool or other amenities you would have in a condo thus reducing the fees. Normally a townhouse is larger that a condo in most cases. Another advantage of a townhouse you could have a small piece of property such as a backyard. I think a townhouse will be in the long run a better investment than the condo. The choice is up to you contact a reputable real estate agent for more information.
